where your dog

becomes your art

Custom artwork that celebrates your dog, while blending seamlessly with your home aesthetic

At our Queen West studio, we reveal your pup’s inner icon…

and transform them into fine art.

“Hannah was fantastic! She was so patient with my dog, and took the time he needed in order to make him comfortable and the photos turned out better than I could have imagined. It was such a fun experience.”

The Experience

  • 10 minute consultation call

A complimentary 10-15 minute phone call. Hannah will tell you all about the studio and services, and get to know you and your pet(s).

A zero-pressure opportunity to determine if it's a good fit.

  • Zoom planning session

A 30 minute strategy meeting to plan your photography session from beginning to end.

Hannah will discuss background colours, posing, and how you hope to enjoy the work (wall art, albums, etc.)

  • Studio session

A 1-2 hour photography session at our studio in downtown Toronto.

The relaxed, comfortable environment puts both pets and humans at ease, and Hannah gently guides the flow at a pace that works for everyone.

Samples of all fine art products are available to browse, to get a sense of which ones you would like to see in your home.

  • Ordering Appointment

A 1-hour Zoom session to reveal the iconic photos we created at your photoshoot. Hannah will review the fine-art products available, and assist in selecting the works that will be displayed in your home.

Using technology that allows you to upload images of your rooms, Hannah can show size and framing options to enhance the design profile of your space.

FAQ

  • We are a full service portrait studio, which means that within a month of your shoot, you will be holding artwork in your hands. We work with you to plan the shoot, capture dynamic imagery of your dog, and oversee the creation of high-quality printed artworks. There is no one-size fits all product - every client gets a personalized experience.

Within 7-10 days of your session, you will have a Zoom ordering appointment. Hannah will share the photos from your shoot (exciting moment!), and guide you through the process of selecting and designing fine art objects for your home.

We offer a wide range of carefully curated wall art in metal, acrylic, and framed options, as well as hand-bound albums and European hand-crafted image box collections of matted prints. Learn more about our products here.

  • We are very proud of our ability to work with sensitive dogs. Our studio is equipped with both flash as well as continuous video lighting, which means that we can offer a completely adaptive sensory experience; if your pet shows signs of anxiety or stress, we can photograph you and your dog with no audible pops or flashes. Hannah is one of only a small number of pet photographers currently working in this way.

If you have questions about how your pet would handle a photoshoot, please reach out. Hannah will ask you some very specific questions about your pet and provide an honest assessment.

  • Our default is to shoot them both individually as well as together, but your preference (and their cooperation!) will guide our approach. Most folks prefer a combination. Sometimes it’s tricky to coordinate, and Hannah will probably get you to help out!

  • If your pet is treat-motivated or toy-driven, even without a solid grasp of commands we can still get great shots.

We understand that some circumstances mean that your pet may not have these mastered- with rescues or young puppies, for example. We have done many successful shoots without any “sit”, “down”, or “paw”.

If you’re still not sure if your dog is a good fit, please reach out.

  • Each physical art product comes with a matching digital file, printable up to an 8x10.

We do not share unedited digital files.

  • Absolutely. When you book your session, you’ll choose whether you want a session that’s just your pet (or pets), or a session that involves both pets and people.

The goal is to illuminate the deep connection between you and your pet, and turn it into something more than just a snapshot. We aim to create art.

If you would like to be in the photo with your pet, Hannah will provide extra guidance around wardrobe, hair and makeup, and posing. We will make sure to support you in preparing both yourself and your pet for the session, so that the images will be something you can display proudly and treasure for decades to come.
